ESL Educational Ranch Holiday and Wilderness Holiday Options
This is your opportunity to turn learning English into the ultimate adventure. Live an ESL ranch adventure with 15 hours of classroom study a week. Spend your afternoons participating in activities designed to help you practice your English skills and develop conversational fluency. Learn how to saddle a horse, then explain the procedure to your partner. Go on a scavenger hunt through the ranch property following increasingly difficult instructions. Tell your fellow students about the Mule Deer you saw playing in the back pasture
ESL Program Introduction
Make your English learning experience truly unique by hiking up to one of our alpine camps during the summer months. Students can choose to spend one or two weeks or the entirety of their program at camp. Practice your English skills while learning wilderness skills.
Go all out on the weekends with optional camping trips. Go to a nearby lake to spend the day swimming, or go skiing in the winter. After completing the ESL program, you can use your freshly-honed English skills to enjoy one of our many holidays such as a Wilderness Guest Ranch Stay, a Pack Horse Trip or a Wilderness Alpine Hike.
Elective Courses
Students will also have access to a number of elective courses, which can be taken once the ESL program has been completed. The available electives are as follows; One or Two Week Wilderness Guide Training, One Week Advanced Wilderness Guide Training, One Week Guide Outfitter Training, One Week Tourism Management Training, One Week Angling Guide Training, One Week Hike Guide Training, One Week Horse Logging, One Week Wilderness Log Cabin Building. These courses build on student's existing knowledge and provide them with essential skills for a wilderness lifestyle. The opportunity also presents itself to take part in a practicum once completed an elective course as mentioned above.

Housing/Accommodation Info
Accommodations and Ranch Life
Students will lodge on the ranch or in camps amongst a beautiful and natural environmental setting. Summer students will get the opportunity to lodge at one of our alpine camps putting them closer to nature. Fall, Winter, and Spring students will stay at the ranch in fully furnished rooms and will enjoy wholesome and nutritional food from our ranch kitchen, which will provide all meals to students. The geographical location of the ranch will allow students to focus on improving their English with little distraction, as well as take part in all the fun activities available. All housing and meals will be provided by Chilcotin Holidays.
