School Introduction Prestige English Language Academy offers a unique experience for the English language learner. Students have the opportunity of staying in a teacher’s home and studying at the on-site classroom. Other students may already have living arrangements but need extra ESL instruction to help them improve their conversational English, pronunciation or to assist them with their studies in a College or the University. Our homestay facilities and school are on a main bus route and are centrally located close to downtown shops and services.
ESL Program Introduction
Our classes offer a full range of language instruction at all levels including: reading and writing, listening and speaking, vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, conversation, Canadian culture and traditions, Business English, Communication skills, TOEIC and TOEFL preparation.
Another feature is the Assisted Homestay with a Teacher program for international students or visitors who wish to combine their stay in Kelowna with an English language learning program.
PELA also offers unique and various cultural activities as part of the homestay program. Our activities are planned so that students/visitors have a chance to practice their English language skills while exploring the city of Kelowna.

Starting Dates:
Continuous Entry. New students join classes on Mondays
Full Time: 25 hours per week: $300.00
Part Time:15 hours per week: $180.00
One-to-One tutoring: $22.00/hour
Homestay with a Teacher
Option #1:
Private room in a shared furnished suite that includes full kitchen, bathroom, living room and two bedrooms. Breakfast, lunch and Dinner meals included. Suite includes internet service, cable TV and phone access. 15 hours of ESL instruction / week. Additional hours can be arranged if requested in advance. ESL Teacher lives on site. Japanese and Chinese translator on site most days.Three guided sightseeing and activity options per week. $1295.00 per week
Option #2 :
Shared room in a furnished studio apartment that includes a shared bathroom and a kitchenette
Apartment includes internet access, cable TV, access to phone. Breakfast and dinner meals included.
One guided activity option per week. ESL Teacher lives on site. Japanese and Chinese translator on site most days. Private language instruction available (fees additional): $800.00 per month.
