ESL Program Introduction

We offer a variety of courses directed to meet your academic goals. Come explore our web site and learn more about us.

Our Approach
Every class is dynamic and engaging: students learn English through oral, listening and written expression. All of our courses are based on University standards. Weekly quizzes, midterm and final exams will evaluate your progress.
Our course tuition includes Text Books, Workbooks and CD's.

We understand that students have different goals and priorities. As a result, we have developed systems to identify student needs and to match them to appropriate learning solutions.

All of our classes are limited to 12 students. This small number provides students with a lot of opportunities to speak in class. It also allows teachers to closely monitor each students’ progress and problems.

Students receive immediate feedback in class, helping to make them aware of their most significant and most repeated errors. Students also receive qualitative reports 4 times each course, detailing their areas of progress, identifying their persistent problems, and providing suggestions for improving weaknesses.

ESL Studio has attracted an outstanding staff of professional English teachers. We always seek teachers with extensive credentials, including University Degrees, years of teaching experience, and above all, commitment to helping their students progress.

ESL Studio is proud to introduce the only Cinema course in toronto directed toward ESL Students -ESL CINEMA

ESL CINEMA is a significant educational breakthrough in the learning of English as a Second Language. I think you'll find that this is an enjoyable and innovative method of quickly acquiring real-world vocabulary while exploring North American culture. Each month a new film is studied so you can take as many ESL CINEMA courses as you like.

Each ESL CINEMA guide is a detailed synopsis of a popular movie, which consists of the following:

A summary of the plot and a list of the major characters

30 -40 page guide on the film and its vocabulary, English Style

Hundreds of phrasal verbs used everyday in North America

An extensive glossary of vocabulary and various references that even advanced ESL learners would often not understand.

In addition, many of the guides include relevant notes on useful cultural information, as well as questions that test general understanding of the movie and encourage discussion of film-related topics. At the end of each week students will be tested on the vocabulary learned and at the end of the course students will be given the opportunity to see the movie as a class and will be tested on the hundreds of vocabulary and phrasal verbs taught from the film.
