Welcome to International Gateway Kelowna!
Kelowna is B.C.'s premier summer and winter resort city with a population of 120, 000. Kelowna receives over 300 days of sunshine per year making it one of Canada's sunniest and mildest destinations. The city is world renowned for its white sand beaches, fabulous watersports, internationally acclaimed vineyards, championship golf courses, lush orchards and the nearby ski resorts of Big White and Silverstar Mountains. Also, 95% of Kelowna residents speak English as a first language so your skills will improve faster than in larger cities like Vancouver or Toronto where less thany 50% of residents speak English as a first language.
Our upscale campus is located on the second floor of the Towne Centre Fashion Mall in the vibrant downtown core. IGK is within easy walking distance of beaches, shops, attractions and transportation. Kelowna is a safe and friendly city with a low cost of living so students can study and save money at the same time.

International Gateway Kelowna is a member of the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, Downtown Kelowna Business Association, the Kelowna-Kasugai and the Kelowna-Veendam Sister City Associations.

ESL Program Introduction
Our Practical English as a Second Language programs feature individualized learning with a maximum class size of 10 and an average of 5. Students can choose 10, 15, 25 or 30 study hours per week.
The are 5 levels of Practical ESL (listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar) in the morning. Students choose from a variety of afternoon electives depending on their level and interest such as: Conversation, Canadian Culture, TOEIC, IELTS and Cambridge FCE/CAE exam preparation.
IGK also offers Internships, Volunteer Placement and High School Preparation and Placement (ages 12 to 18). We also offer Wine and Bartending Certificate programs integrated with Canadian students.
Summer and Winter Youth Vacation Camps for Ages 8 to 18 include: ESL + Activities, Golf or Ice Hockey and a ESL + High School Experience. Most camps are integrated with Canadian teens to maximize cross-cultural learning.
Action Camps for adults feature: ESL+Agricultural and Wine Tours, ESL+'Hot' Yoga, ESL+Golf and Farmstays
1:1 ESL, Family ESL, resort internships and eco adventure programs are also available in Hopkins, Belize at our ocean front resort campus, International Gateway Belize.
