School Introduction We want to share with you our Canadian life style and the unspoiled wilderness for a special educational experience.
Our English as a Second Language (ESL) program is based on participation. Improve your communication skills while being part of life on a ranch. Our small classes (up to six students) and qualified teacher ensure an exciting experience. This is the opportunity to turn learning English into the ultimate adventure. Live an ESL ranch adventure with 15 hours of classroom study per week. Spend your afternoon participating in activities to help you practice your English skills and develop conversational fluency. You'll learn how to saddle a horse and then explain the procedure. Or you go on a hike and learn about the forest, about plants and wildlife.
This program includes private horseback riding lessons in the coral five times a week for approx. 30 min. Once your riding and confidence level is adequate, you will be ready for short trail rides around the property.
On weekends, students have a chance to get involved in ranch activities and work with the horses. Optional activities and trips are available to Students (additional fee may apply).
ESL Program Introduction
The Silver Spur Trails ESL Package includes 15 English language lessons per week as well as ranch accommodation and meals. The whole program is happening at the ranch and no transportation is necessary. The students get involved in ranch activities and natural horsemanship and get a chance to ride. A weekly trip to a place of interest is also included.
Bicycles are available and the hot-tub and sauna can be used. Friday nights are known for karaoke at the local Legion where foreign guest are very welcome.
This ESL program is suitable for students of all ages and for people who don't like the ordinary class room atmosphere and we will definitely make you feel at home at our ranch.
