Kaplan English Programs - Vancouver is a world-renowned leader in test preparation. We specialize in teaching TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, International GMAT and International GRE. However, we also offer great programs such as a full-time General Intensive English Program and a part-time General English Program.

Lovers of Canadian Culture have the opportunity to visit the internationally renowned Vancouver Art Gallery and the Queen Elizabeth Theater to catch a play. Vancouver is located a stone’s throw from British Columbia’s capital, Victoria, by a short ferry ride.
ESL Program Introduction
As you probably know, the TOEFL test changed in October from CBT TOEFL to iBT TOEFL. The new TOEFL test includes a speaking portion, two essays, more difficult listening and reading passages and a new integrated skills question. In addition, your grammar will be tested throughout the entire essay and will last an additional hour for an approximate total of 3.5 hours.
Kaplan is one of the only schools in Vancouver that has original material created for the new iBT TOEFL test thanks to our curriculum building team. Our teachers make it a point to work with you to help you achieve your desired TOEFL score. The iBT TOEFL and Academic English class runs from 9:00 am-12:15 pm with in-class instruction followed by a self-directed study lab from 1:15 pm-3:15 pm.
Kaplan also offers an evening TOEFL class for those students with a busy schedule. This 8-week evening program, plus 1 month of practice, runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8:30pm.
Our free practice test is open to the public and is offered on Tuesdays at 3:15 to give students a sense of how they will do on the actual test. After the test, we offer academic counselling.
We also offer General Intensive English classes. This program is for beginning to advanced levels. Kaplan places the students in the appropriate level based on the students’ language skills. Our GIE class focuses on improving grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Classes run Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 3:15 pm.
Our intensive IELTS course introduces practical test-taking strategies and covers all testing material from the four sections of the IELTS exam: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Currently, we are offering an introductory special of $1280. This includes access to our computer facilities, library, Kaplan activities and exclusive Kaplan practice materials.
Our IGMAT program offers 36 hours of live instruction including 3 language intensive workshops, critical reasoning and reading comprehension. In addition, our students have access to computer lab videos, practice labs and simulated exams. Kaplan also has an on-line training library with workshops, exercises and quizzes.
Kaplan offers a 4 week intensive program for international students preparing for the Graduate Record Exam. Our IGRE program runs 3 times a week at 3 hours per class. In addition, our students have additional access to our lab as well as online and computer work.
The Advanced Test Speaking class is an intensive, structured course designed to increase student's confidence and help them develop the skills needed to effectively communicate in an academic environment in order to better prepare them for the speaking sections in the iBT TOEFL, IELTS and TSE. The class runs Monday to Friday from 1:15pm to 3:15pm.
