School Introduction This is a summer ESL Program in Winnipeg, Canada for international students between the ages of 15-18. It combines academic, social and cultural experiences designed to enhance English language learning in an authentic English-speaking environment. The two components of our academic program are the English classes and the enrichment classes. Also included in our program are cultural and historic tours, evening activities and weekend excursions. Students are housed and classes are taught in our summer apartment style residence. Winnipeg is known for it's hot summer days and nearby beaches and lakes. Students will benefit from Winnipeg's rich cultural diversity reflected in its world-class festivals, cultural activities, sports and entertainment.
ESL Program Introduction
A typical week will include 5 mornings of English language instruction at a beginner, intermediate or advanced level. All instructors are certified. In order to facilitate an interactive approach class sizes are small ensuring student participation. Enrichment classes occur 3 afternoons a week and include a choice of one of the following: History and Architecture, Photography, Canadian Art History, Drama, Canadian Music and Pop Culture, French Canadian Language and Culture. At the end of the 3 weeks students will receive a certificate indicating the number of hours of instruction and their grade.
