School Introduction College Platon is a co-educational, multicultural private language school dedicated to the highest standard of linguistic instruction while maintaining the most reasonable tuition fees in North America. Established in 1957, College Platon offers a rigorous linguistic education of a traditional cast. For over 40 years, our school has developed a student-oriented teaching philosophy with emphasis on oral expression, written work and the study of grammar and also published its own manuals in 20 different languages.
Situated in the heart of Montreal, the luxuriously renovated college offers state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, a computer lab, a small student-teacher ratio, housing facilities, a cafeteria and extra curricular activities such as free conversation classes and group excursions. ESL Program Introduction
Our Intensive program (in English or in French) is taught from 10:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday. The morning session focuses on grammar and written & reading comprehension, whereas in the afternoon the emphasis is rather put on oral skills. There is a conversation class between 15:00 and 16:00 everyday from Monday to Friday, and this class is offered free of charge for all students enrolled in the Intensive program - a special offer from the finest language school in Canada. You will have the same teacher for both morning and afternoon classes throughout the 4 (or 5)-week term, while teachers take turns for the conversation class. There are 6 levels in the Intensive program, and unless you are a complete beginner you will be given a placement test (both written and oral) at 9:00 on the first day of your course.
